Previous number

Imported data has been taken from the ‘Previous_Numbers’ field in the CALM catalogue menu and may relate to a previous archive reference or a former iconographic number that has been superseded.

Typically, a previous number relates to material that has been recatalogued or reconciled. Some collections have straddled Sierra and CALM and occasionally have been catalogued in both systems.

The Adamson collection is in the process of being catalogued/re-catalogued and so whilst data exists in this field from CALM you may also need to add numbers if/when you come across items that have been renumbered, ensuring object numbers on the CMS and object are a match.
