Uncatalogued - AV and born digital
Our processes for supporting access to uncatalogued AV and born digital material are currently in development. For the moment we have established that:
For material that hasn’t been virus checked/ingested it’s a blanket no, as it poses security and preservation risks.
For material that has been disk imaged/ingested or digitised we’ll take it on a case-by-case basis.
We need to discuss whether we should extrace removable media found during uncatalogued sensitivity checks, adding itms to the AV/BD sequence and updating the acc record/boxlist accordingly.
