Donor permission

Process

The following collections require permission from the donor to view them:

PP/DWW – Donald Woods Winnicott PP/CMW/F/6 – specific files relating to Winston Churchill’s medical records.

Wellcome staff have automatic permission to consult these collections, but if the research involves external researchers then additional permission must be sought.

These collections cannot be ordered online via the catalogue. They must be ordered by Collections Information via green slip Sierra. The Access statement on the catalogue will inform the reader that permission needs to be sought from the donor.

Once permission has been granted, and proof sent to [email protected] then:

• Add the readers name to the Donor Permission Spreadsheet

• Save the email proving permission on SharePoint here.

• Order the item via Sierra green slip, for the reader (Reference and Box number) (place a post-it note on the green slip stating Donor permission sheet has been updated).
