Adding Exhibition Info to the catalogue

The Registrars will send information to collections@wellcome on where items from Welcome Collection have been on loan. The data is for inclusion in the relevant catalogue records. Include the following data:

  • Name of Exhibition

  • Venue - Museum or Gallery where the exhibition was held

  • City

  • Dates of exhibition

Exhibited in "Pre-Raphaelites: A Modern Renaissance" at Musei di San Domenico, Forlì, 23 February - 30th June 2024

Exhibited in "Flesh" at York Art Gallery, York, 23 September 2016 – 19 March 2017

Sierra records

The Registrars will add data to Sierra records and do not need to request catalogue changes from the Enquiry team. They add the data to a 585 Exhibition field, see the library guidelines for examples.

CALM records

Collections Information add exhibition information to CALM, see ExhibitionNote in the Archive cataloging guide for examples.

TEI records

Exhibition information sits within a <custodialHist> tag, which is within the <additional> tag.
