At Wellcome Collection, we focus on collecting unique and distinctive materials that have the potential to challenge the way we think and feel about health. We collect across many formats, including archives, visual and material culture, moving image and sound, manuscripts, ephemera and printed and published works. We build our collections according to our Collections Development Policy. As we receive a large number of donation offers, we have to work strategically to ensure that we are collecting materials that best fit our mission statement.
