Language

This data should only be collected for uncatalogued material, this is not a mandatory field, but may be useful for future documentation. This field is a drop-down list and should only be filled in if you able to identify the language. If no lettering is present or if unable to identify, please leave the field blank or use ‘unspecified’ instead.

If more than one language is present on the artwork, please select the value ‘Multiple’ in the Language field and specify the languages in the Note field, if known. Please note, this is not mandatory and should only be recorded if helpful for the identification of the item.
