Iconographic number

This is the identifier/object number used for visual formats, example 1234i

Iconographic numbers have been exported directly from Sierra into Quickbase from the 001 field on the bibliographic record. No additional input from the inventory team is required at this stage.

Exception: we may need to enter this field manually for items which don’t come through to Quickbase, from Sierra. This may be in the case of multiple linked items or those with odd/incomplete locations on Sierra. It's also possible iconographic numbers are created during cataloguing workflows post export from Sierra/Import into QB. In these instances we will manually add the data to Quickbase.

When manually adding records to QB please ensure you input the System and Sierra record ID numbers. For 1224i the System number is b11605297 and the item record identifier is i11823070.
