Rules for completing column K of the scoping spreadsheet

Minimum requirements:

• Extent can be rough i.e. about 30 volumes, approx photographs.

• In some cases, 1 box will be sufficient when describing material all of one format type such as publications.

• Extents can sometimes also be inferred; for example, where file titles are listed consistently but not numbered, we can assume they are single files.

Choose an option from the pick list:

• Yes

• No

• Some

Select 'yes' if:

• all boxes meet the minimum requirements

Select 'no' if:

• multiple titles and/or descriptions are given for every box without accompanying extents

Select 'some' if:

• multiple titles and/or descriptions are given for some boxes without accompanying extents
