🔎Scoping uncatalogued accessions

The following pages will set out step by step instructions on how to scope each accession and complete the scoping spreadsheet.

The purpose of scoping each accession is to create an overview of all work required prior to any practical work taking place.

Scoping will identify:

1. what work is needed to bring the box list to the agreed minimum standard

2. whether there is material to extract, e.g. audio-visual, born-digital, fragile, oversize

3. whether all boxes can be located

4. any anomalies or issues to resolve either with the data or the material itself

5. an estimation of the amount of resource required e.g. low/medium/high

To Edit:

• Scoping spreadsheet: Each accession number is represented by one row in the spreadsheet. The first five columns contain data exported from the CALM accession record.

• Updates_for_Deepstore_Inventory_list.xlsx

• Archive collections files in Sharepoint (for specific reference numbers and accession numbers as listed in the spreadsheet), as well as checking the physical collections files
