Contains box no?
Rules for completing column G of the scoping spreadsheet
Before the introduction of a box list template, box numbers were recorded in various ways.
This column should be completed in conjunction with the ‘Contains DS barcodes?’ column. If you are unsure whether all information matches, look for DS barcodes before completing this column.
Select 'yes' if:
box numbers are present in a box list, and it is clear which descriptions/titles the box number relates to, and the number of boxes in the box list matches the extent recorded in the accession record and column D of the scoping spreadsheet.
the accession is less than one box and only described in the accession record with box numbers recorded in the acquisitions note field along with the DeepStore barcode. For example, “Deepstore Barcode: B000001890560 (AAU/RMI/2217/1).” Or for a box containing multiple accessions, “Deepstore barcode: 10000054321 (PP/ABC/345/001 stored in same box as PP/DEF/346/001).”
Select 'no' if:
there aren’t any identifiable box numbers (in the box list or the accession record – see point above for format of this information)
it is unclear which descriptions/titles the box number relates to
the numbers in the box list don’t match the accession record
Select 'some' if:
some box numbers are present but not for all descriptions
Select 'n/a' if:
the accession is wholly born-digital or is wholly onsite
Add all inconsistencies or other relevant information to the Notes column of the scoping spreadsheet as necessary.
