Items on catalogue?
This is a Multiple Choice text field to note the cataloguing status of an item or group.
The options for cataloguing status are:
YES - Each item or group of items has an icon number and is represented on Sierra.
NO - Item hasn’t got an icon number and there is no representation on Sierra.
Partially - A group of objects are under the same icon number and there is representation on Sierra for the whole. Differences between the objects are not represented on the catalogue and further cataloguing action is required. This should be selected in combination with ‘Phase 2: item records to be created’ (Part Numbering field). Partially - also represents material where an order record has been created for acquired material waiting to be catalogued on Sierra.
Harvested data from Sierra into QB should be mapped to 'on catalogue - Yes'.
Created data assigned to a temporary number should be mapped to 'on catalogue - No.'
'On catalogue - partially' should be selected when multiple objects on the same number are not represented at an item level on Sierra. I.e. A bib record exists but not the correct number of items. This field is particularly important to change from 'yes to partially' for objects flagged for part numbering at the point an item record is created.
