CIRCUMSTANCES IN WHICH PERMANENT CHANGES ARE AGREED/PERMITTED...

In addition to updating the catalogue, the physical item may need updating (i.e. to remove a closure period and red dot)

Updating CALM records

Update the relevant fields in the appropriate catalogue record following the guidance.

After updating a CALM record you must also update the corresponding Sierra item record. The overnight harvest will not update the Sierra item record.

Fields that map to the Sierra item record must be manually updated in Sierra as well as CALM. These are:

  • Location

  • Status

  • Opacmsg

You do not need to update as this will update in the overnight harvest.

Updating Sierra records

Update the relevant fields in the appropriate catalogue record following the guidance.

In addition, the location field may need updating (not covered in these instructions)
