Incunabula

As the incunabula, and their shelfmarks, have a longer institutional history than others and had been published in F.N.L. Poynter, A Catalogue of Incunabula in the Wellcome Historical Medical Library (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1954), limited changes were made barring the addition of the prefix EPB/INC/. Poynter’s work was also consulted when the team came across uncatalogued material. As the shelfmarks also contained locations e.g. (SR), these were removed during a global update and the location was added to the IMESSAGE field in the item record to aid retrievals.
