This document presents en evolving set of recommendations for the core metadata fields we want to capture when cataloguing audio-visual material. It uses the FIAF Moving Image Cataloguing Manual as the main reference point and includes a description of the core metadata elements, how they map to fields in CALM and Sierra, and detailed instructions for how to catalogue different types of material in both systems, as appropriate.
