Quarterly Core Cataloguing

New Core Collection acquisitions are reviewed on a Quarterly basis, to ensure they are catalogued to a Basic level.

Identifying items to be catalogued

• Run a quarterly report on uncatalogued new acquisitions in Sierra. Use Sierra Create Lists saved query 19 Uncatalogued Acquisitions, changing the Received date to cover the start and end dates of the previous Quarter.

• To export the relevant data to Excel use saved export 98 Quarterly Acquisitions Cat Report.

• Save on Sharepoint: Collections Information/Audits & Backlog Management/Uncatalogued Sierra lists

• Copy the list onto a new tab to edit the data for Monday.com. For Artists' Books, Ephemera & Zines create a single line for each, with the total number of books/items/zines in the Extent column. The columns in the Excel sheet need to match those on the Monday board.

• Import the Quarterly list into the Quarterly Core Cataloguing board on Monday.com
