Image Usage

Images that cannot be used will have a cloud with download arrow crossed out displayed in the top left corner.

Most of the basic information you will need is displayed in summary at the top of the image metadata.

To view details about an image, double-click on the image in the viewing pane.

The names of our current photographers will be displayed under Creator, and images should be credited in the format Wellcome Collection/ Steven Pocock, using the above image as an example

Our current photographers are: Steven Pocock, Laurie Auchterlonie, Thomas S.G. Farnetti, Ben Gilbert and Tom Cox. All other images can be credited simply to Wellcome Collection, unless otherwise explicitly stated.

If images cannot be used in any context they will not be downloadable. If an image has restricted usage they will be assigned a CC-BY-NC license as above, which means they can be used for any purpose that is non commercial ie they cannot be used in a published book (including educational books), or on products to be sold etc.
