Regular meetings

Collections Information team meeting (monthly)

Information forum. Flexible agenda covering any team-relevant topic not picked up by the other meetings e.g. quarterly planning, strategy updates, guest speakers. Information cascade rather than decision-making. Slide decks from previous meetings are available on SharePoint (please note, we don’t always have slide decks).

CatChat (fortnightly): Cataloguing Chat

This is a regular forum organised by the Collections Information team to showcase collections information practice and share collections-based research. It is usually on Teams, but sometimes hybrid. We host speakers from across Wellcome Collection as well as external researchers. Sessions cover a broad range of topics – please see the programme which is published each quarter on Trustnet.

Recordings from previous CatChat events are available from the CatChat sharepoint list.

MetaCat (fortnightly): Metadata and Cataloguing

Discussion and decision-making forum. A shared space for getting into the detail and technical aspects of all things related to cataloguing and metadata. While organised by and for CI, we regularly bring in other teams where relevant, particularly Collections Development and Digital. Attendance is optional, but we encourage you to look at the agenda in advance and attend when there is something of relevance to your work. Agendas and notes are in SharePoint.

CADI (monthly): Collections, Access, Diversity and Inclusion Forum

Discussion and decision-making forum. A shared space to discuss any access related issues or raise questions as well as covering special themes with open-ended conversations. Also a decision-making forum for specific questions/issues raised. Agendas are in SharePoint. You can also add to an ideas document.

Inventory (fortnightly)

Discussion and decision-making forum. A shared space for those actively involved in any of the inventories being carried out by the team (Visual Material, Printed and Published material, Manuscripts, Archives, Audio-Visual). Informal space, usually in person, to catch up on current inventory work and undertake practice planning future work. Fluid agenda. Individuals generally take their own notes. Agendas are in SharePoint.
